Founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, Lucia Swim embodies a dream of creating a high-quality, environmentally conscious swimwear label that prioritizes quality, style, and fit. Lucia Swim’s line of swimwear features high-quality pieces made from regenerated and recycled materials, including ocean waste and plastic bottles. The brand uses ECONYL® regenerated nylon and REPREVE™, a premium material crafted from recycled nylon and plastic bottles. All fabric dyes are certified Eco-Friendly and carry GOTS and OEKO-TEX® approvals.
Each collection is produced in small batches to minimize waste and ensure that every item is crafted with the highest care. Manufacturing
Lucia Swim bikinis are currently manufactured overseas in Bali, Indonesia.
Our manufacturer fulfills all of the Indonesian government’s regulations on the treatment of employees, disposal of waste and cleanliness/sanitation. We prioritize ethical practices to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all.
Their employees are paid above minimum wage, receive medical insurance, which they extend to their spouse & up to three children! They also provide a fresh, healthy cooked meal for lunch every single day, double wages for overtime and their working conditions are on-par to western standards.
Any of the left-over fabric scraps in their warehouse are donated to local charity-based groups. They also donate a % of the manufacturing cost to Bali Streets Mums, a charity devoted to the welfare & education of women & children in Bali who spend their lives scavenging garbage dumps.
